Ethiopian Airlines Manager based in Seychelles says thank you to Minister Alain St.Ange for working with the airline to open the Israel tourism market for Seychelles.

Mereset Tekelign, the Seychelles-based Manager for Ethiopian Airlines, was personally at the airport to welcome back Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, as he landed in Seychelles on Ethiopian Airline from his working visit to Israel. Mereset Tekelign, the Seychelles-based Manager for Ethiopian Airlines, was joined at Seychelles International Airport by Lenny Alvis, the General Manager at Mason’s Travel; the GSA for Ethiopian Airlines in Seychelles; and Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the island’s Tourism Board.

“We heard that the working visit in Israel was a total success, and we wanted to be here as you landed to say thank you for your tireless efforts for Seychelles tourism,” said Mereset Tekelign, the Seychelles-based Manager for Ethiopian Airlines as she asked Minister St.Ange to cut a welcome back cake at the airport lounge. Minister St.Ange had been leading a flying visit to Israel for a promotional trip organized jointly by Ethiopian Airlines and the Seychelles Tourism Board.

“The tourism public-private sector delegation who were with me in Israel were happy with the work we had done, and the success of the trip is only because we were all looking at Seychelles first and to ensure that our islands were able to claim its fair share of Israel’s tourism market. Anyone who understands the workings that make tourism work will appreciate that there is no substitute for being present in tourism source markets, and also to have the opportunity of just listening to our potential tour operator partners. This is why we were in israel where I was being accompanied by Rosemarie Hoareau, the Director of Marketing at the Seychelles Tourism Board; Alan Mason of Amaon’s Travel; Guillaume Albert of Creole Travel Services; and Daniella Payet-Alis of Seychelles Reservations,” said Minister St.Ange at the airport as he explained that the success of this latest trip had surpassed even his own expectations.

Minister Alain St.Ange thanked Mereset Tekelign, the Seychelles-based Manager for Ethiopian Airlines, and their GSA Mason’s Travel represented by Lenny Alvis for this welcoming party. He assured them that the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the Tourism Board would continue to work with the private sector who are committed to the islandsโ€™ tourism industry.
