COPENHAGEN, Denmark – The new Tivoli Hotel opens this week and adds 282 rooms to the existing Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center, bringing the total capacity to 679 rooms and space for 6000 conference guests in the very center of Copenhagen.

Just around the corner, the newly announced Scandic Hotel, set to open in 2018, will be situated in the Meatpacking District offering 370 hotel rooms and capacity for up to 550 conference guests. The new hotel will meet the rising demand for hotel rooms in Copenhagen.

Jens Mathiesen, CEO, Scandic Hotels Denmark, says:

“We are experiencing a very high occupancy in all our Copenhagen hotels, and some days we are fully booked. The new hotel will become an integral part of the Meatpacking District, and it will be possible to book conference rooms that are creatively decorated and that appeal to both small and large enterprises.”

Hotel additions meet increasing demand
“It is beneficial to Copenhagen that the hotel capacity is expanding so we can meet the increasing demand,” says Jonas Wilstrup, Convention Director in Wonderful Copenhagen.

He continues:

“The Meatpacking District primarily addresses a young, urban segment and a new hotel in this area of Copenhagen broadens the city’s hotel portfolio.”
