We’ve all seen that guy who isn’t afraid to bare his legs, even in January, and according to the new insights, 42% of those surveyed believe that eager Brits are guilty of embracing summer too early. Almost a third (29%) of men admitted to wearing shorts at the first glimpse of sunshine, regardless of the month of the year, and in addition 40% of brave women agreed that they would leave their arms exposed and wear a top without a coat on the first sunny day of the year.

Alex Longmore is a celebrity stylist who has dressed stars such as Claudia Schiffer and Dannii Minogue. She explains: “For office workers, summer dressing can be a bit daunting. It’s a massive faux pas to expose too much flesh and it’s also tricky with air con pumping to get the right balance.” She continued: “Go for breathable fabrics like U.S. cotton – there is nothing worse than feeling hot and sticky in an important meeting.”
