The Seychelles Tourism Board’s office in the Middle East has hailed the media, trade and consumer event held recently as a success.

Held at the TRE of the Royal Radisson Hotel, the event was attended by more than 70 guests from the media, trade and consumer sector. The Seychelles Tourism Board’s Director of Marketing, Rose-Marie Hoareau, attended the event. It was a night of upholding relationships and gaining new contacts for Seychelles.

Banyan Tree Seychelles, Enchanted Island Resort, Raffles Praslin, and The H Resort which will be opening its door to Seychelles in August, 2015 had come on board to support the event.

The gathering was a chance for the Seychelles Tourism Board’s Middle East office to promote the majestic beauty of the islands and at the same time to thank its partners from these different sectors for their unending support to Seychelles.

The Regional Manager of the Middle East tourism office, Ahmed Fathallah, said this time the idea was to bring together the boutique/luxury companies and the media as well to target key consumers to further strengthen the awareness of Seychelles and its diversity as a destination.

“Since it is the first time for us to hold such an event targeting this niche segment, we were ecstatic that it was well attended, and the guests were really enticed to visit the islands,” he said.

“With the positive remarks we got, we are happy with this great accomplishment. We will definitely create more activities and partnerships to raise the flag of Seychelles and position the niche market activities in the region to the target audience of these areas of special interest.”
