Tunisian participation at “Globe Tourism Travel 2008” Salon aims at promoting ‘niche tourism’

The second edition of the “Globe Tourism Travel 2008” Salon which is due on March 13 to 15, 2008 in Rome, will witness a strong Tunisian participation. The Salon which is open to the world’s major tour operators and professionals, aims at promoting tourism in Southern Europe and in the Mediterranean countries.

As part of the program of this major gathering, is the Business to business (B2B) encounter, organized by the Rome Fair, as well as the setting up of several stands in the centre of Rome so as to enable participating countries to promote their products. Another program dubbed “Investment and Globe” will aim at making better known tourist development projects.

Tunisia ‘s participation in the event will essentially aim at promoting niche tourism, or special interest tourism which is one of the fastest growing areas within the tourism sector.

This modern form of tourism is attracting considerable attention due mainly to its participation in the sustainable development of the countries promoting it.

Some 40 nations will take part in this salon, which will cover a surface of 40,000 square meters and welcome more than a thousand exhibitors.
