For an event to be so well supported by both Seychelles’ partners and the travel trade alike over the many years of its existence, goes to show that the right mixture of ingredients were used to create this perfect marketing recipe and tool of success, said Bernadette Willemin, the European Director of the Seychelles Tourism Board. She also added that it is very important to host such dedicated Seychelles events abroad, thus bringing the beautiful islands into the lime light and forefront, together with the unified help of its trade partners.
As one of the partners attending this event consecutively for the past 12 years said: “It is impressive to see the increase in support by the local trade for this event as participation continues to grow and more partners are willing to spend their marketing budget constructively in bringing their products to the doorstep of the French travel agents and tour operators accordingly. It is amazing to see that the Escapades Seychelles event still remains as popular as it was twelve years ago. Our efforts as partners is very much appreciated by the French travel trade in improving their knowledge and expertise and assisting by marketing and selling our products and destination,” said Ash Behari, Director Hotel Coco de Mer.
As for Bruno Legac, General Manager – Constance Lemuria Seychelles, he said: “Being part of this event, it is important to see the hard work and efforts put into marketing the destination and products by the various marketing persons. That is why it is most imperative for us, from an operational perspective, to compliment these efforts with great service and hospitality once guests arrive within the destination, so that they may leave with impressions that would last a lifetime.”
With high-tech, giant-screen presentations, state-of-the-art laser technology, and the ultimate in sound and lighting features, these amazing islands are brought together in a 3D destination feature. The images and descriptions of the Seychelles islands conveyed the message of what makes them unique and sets them apart, as a destination of choice among the French, and the reasons why they should experience the variety and diversity of what the country has to offer.
This annual event not only delivers the impact of the beauty of the Seychelles and the various reasons to visit, but also creates an amazing bond between the tourist office and its partners, who together as a team stand side by side, proudly presenting travel to the Seychelles… another world.
The Seychelles tourism team is looking forward to another year of hard work, support, dedicated motivation, and further success in growing, maintaining, and nurturing the French market in the pole position it enjoys, on the podium of successful sales to the Seychelles. The Seychelles Escapades will come back to France and take place from May 30-June 3, 2016.
In the meantime, this delegation moves further afield to neighboring Belgium, The Netherlands, and Luxemburg for another promotion in the Benelux series of events.
