The Association of British Professional Conference Organizers (ABPCO) Excellence Awards will make its return on Friday, December 4, following the success of the inaugural event.

The Excellence Awards, which will once again coincide with the Chairmanโ€™s Lunch, will be held at The Brighton Centre and will celebrate excellence in the following categories:

ยท Best Industry Partnership
ยท Best Conference by an in-house Conference Organiser
ยท Best Conference by an in-house Agency Organiser

โ€œLast yearโ€™s inaugural Excellence Awards were fully subscribed and we hope to have a similarly positive reception in December,โ€ comments Nicole Leida, joint-chair of ABPCO. โ€œWe have listened to our members and those who attended the event last year in an effort to celebrate and honour those in our industry who have set the standard for excellence. Like last year, an independent panel will select three short-listed candidates to present their submission at the awards lunch prior to voting amongst their peers.โ€

Award submission documents have been sent out to members already but prospective attendees are urged to register for the lunch as soon as possible. The event is open to members (one complimentary place per member) and non-members. Further pricing information for guests can be found at www.abpco.org/abpco-chairmans-lunch

Last yearโ€™s winners included Shocklogic (best supplier partner), UCAS (best conference by an in-house conference organiser) and Morrow Communications (best conference by an agency conference organiser).

โ€œThe Excellence Awards represent to us a unique opportunity to recognise the fantastic partnerships that arise between suppliers, PCOs and associations in delivering word-class conferences and events,โ€ said Johnny Martinez, Marketing & Communications Manager of Shocklogic. โ€œWinning the award in 2014 has definitely attracted new business for us and we are ready to promote the benefits of the scheme for many more years to come!โ€

ABPCO is the UKโ€™s leading organisation for professional conference and event organisers, industry associates and those studying for, or seeking a career in the conference and meetings industry. For more information about ABPCO visit www.abpco.org
