Alex Porteous, the General Manager at Four Seasons Seychelles, has confirmed that Four Seasons Seychelles has promoted Lucianne Ally to the post of Human Resources Director and Executive Committee Member.

In a message to Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, and to Minister Idith Alexander, the Minister responsible for Human Resource and Employment, Alex Porteous has confirmed that the Four Season’s Senior Vice President of Corporate and International Resources had endorsed and supported the promotion. Abdul Rahim, who had been in charge of the Human Resources department at Four Seasons, will be leaving the Seychelles at the end of the month, and he has been the architect behind a focused localization plan at the property since his arrival prior to the resort opening in 2009. Part of Lucianne Ally’s growth and success can be attributed to the coaching and mentoring of Lucianne by Rahim. Today, the Human Resources department at Four Seasons is strong with local talent, including Persia Benoit as Quality & Talent Manager, and a very talented Shannon graduate in Laureen Esparon who will graduate this coming June. Below is the announcement that was made earlier to the team.

To the Management and Staff of the Four Seasons Seychelles Alex Porteous, the General Manager of the Resort wrote:

“I am absolutely delighted with this announcement and it gives me enormous pleasure to congratulate Lucianne Ally on her promotion to Director of Human Resources effective on June 1, 2015. Lucianne joined Four Seasons Resort Seychelles in April 2011 as our Human Resources Manager. Prior to joining us, she was the HR Manager with several resorts on the island – Constance Ephelia Resort, MAIA Resort and various positions with two ministries, the Ministry of Employment and the Ministry of Social Affairs. Lucianne is also certified in Human Resources by the Seychelles Institute of Management. Joining us with strong administrative and technical skills, Lucianne has grown so much in her role and has demonstrated her capability in dealing with the growth of the resort and our employee engagement. Lucianne is both caring & sensitive and represents every single employee as an equal. Please join me in congratulating Lucianne on her well-deserved promotion. Her family, Joachim her partner and son Darren must be exceptional proud of her achievement, we certainly are!”

Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, has said that as he congratulates Lucianne Ally on her promotion, he needs to also congratulate Four Seasons for recognizing the island’s local talent. “We have been encouraging more and more Seychellois to join us to claim back our tourism industry. Only then can we really consolidate our country’s tourism industry for the long term. This is why we have been encouraging Seychelles entrepreneurs, large or small, to join the tourism industry, and this is also why we are also today encouraging hotels and resorts to do what Four Seasons has done. Let us work to discover more Seychellois talent ,and let us get them promoted to more senior positions,” Minister St.Ange said.
