Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, is this morning on his way to Venice in Italy to join Seychellois Creative Artists Leon Radegonde and George Camille at the Biennale des Arts 2015.

“The Biennale des Arts is for creative artists what the Olympics is for the sports community,” said Minister St.Ange as he left Seychelles enroute to Venice.

The Minister and the government of Seychelles as a whole have been working hard alongside the Seychelles Arts Projects to see Seychelles artists represented at the 2015 Biennale des Arts. “This is a milestone for our islands, and it shows the importance of culture and all that makes our culture as rich as it is for the government of Seychelles,” Minister St.Ange said. This afternoon at 5 pm Italy time Minister Alain St.Ange will be received at Palazzo Mora where Seychelles Pavilion is located at the Biennale des Arts.

Minister Alain St.Ange is expected to deliver an address on behalf of the Seychelles government for the official opening of the Seychelles Pavilion at the 2015 Biennale des Arts before accompanying the two Seychellois Artists artists Leon Radegonde and George Camille and other Seychelles Arts Project Foundation (SAPF) members to the official opening cocktail of the Biennale des Arts 2015 to meet the President of the Biennale Paolo Baratta and the Curator Okwui Enwesor at Ca’ Giustiniani.
