ATLANTA, GA – The city of Atlanta in the United States was announced as the host city for the Work Experience Travel Market and IAPA Annual Conference (WETM-IAC) 2016 during this year’s event in Lisbon, Portugal, earlier this month.

From 19 – 21 March 2016 over 200 professionals from organisations serving the youth cultural exchange, work experience, au pair, volunteer and internship sectors will come together in Atlanta to establish and strengthen sector-focused partnerships, gain industry intelligence and tap into emerging global markets.

This is the second time that the annual business-to-business event of WYSE Work and Volunteer Abroad and the International Au Pair Association (IAPA) will take place in the United States.

David Chapman, Director General of WYSE Travel Confederation, the umbrella body of IAPA and WYSE Work and Volunteer Abroad, said: “Given the growing importance of the youth, student and educational travel market in the Americas, we are pleased to be taking the WETM-IAC conference to the United States once again.

“We have selected Atlanta as our host city based on its position as a primary transportation hub, with direct flight connections from cities across the Americas, Europe and Asia, plus easy access from the airport to the city centre by public transport.

“We look forward to welcoming delegates from North and South America, and across the world, for what will be a unique and cost-effective event.”

Registration for WETM-IAC 2016 will open later this year.
