WTM Latin America, which takes place from April 22-24 alongside the 43 Braztoa Business Meeting, has seen phenomenal visitor and buyer interest with pre-registered figures more than 20% up on 2014.

This increase in interest will result in WTM Latin America 2015 becoming the biggest and best yet, taking place in a larger and more conveniently located venue, Expo Centre Norte in the city of Sao Paulo.

The event which is expecting 8,000 visitors and buyers will also exceed $341 million in business deals and contracts signed both during the event and in the months that follow.

The increase in visitor and buyer interest can be accredited to the number of new initiatives that will be introduced over the three days.

Among them is the Business Tourism area hosted by ALAGEV (Latin American Association of Event Managers and Corporate Travel). The area has been added to the exhibition floor to host global travel management companies (TMCs), airlines, hotels and technology suppliers including Alatur, Copastur, Maringa, Master and Uniglobe. 100 Brazilian business travel buyers will be hosted to conclude deals with the business travel exhibitors.

For the first time the fair will have a FOHB (Hotel Operators of Brazil Forum) workshop for visitors. The FOHB represents the most important hotel chains in the country and currently has 26 associates that have a total of 630 hotels and 104,000 accommodation units between them. โ€œWe thank WTM Latin America very much for this opportunity to be involved in this fruitful partnership and we hope to contribute to the fairโ€™s successโ€, said Flรกvia Matos, Executive Director of the FOHB.

Responsible Tourism has also been added to the agenda for 2015, one of the great success topics at WTM in London. WTM Latin America will feature a dedicated programme around the topic, including lectures and seminars from experts within the field.

On top of this, there will be many new exhibitors attending WTM Latin America for 2015 including Latin American hot-spot Colombia, the well-established official tourism board of Spain and the historical city of Istanbul in Turkey.

Lawrence Reinisch Exhibition Director WTM Latin America commented: “We are very pleased to see this huge increase of visitor and buyer interest. We are certain that the fair this year will bring even more opportunities for participants to source new products, learn more about the industry and close even more business deals, which is the main focus for many delegates that attend. Now in a larger venue and strategically located in the central area of Sรฃo Paulo, we are sure that the event will be very well received not only in Latin America, but worldwide.โ€
