Over 250 leading international meeting planners were in Dubai from March 10-13, 2015, for the Meeting & Incentive (M&I) Forum held at the city’s iconic JW Marriott Marquis Hotel.

Supported by Dubai Business Events (DBE) – the Official Convention Bureau, a division of Dubai Tourism plus industry stakeholders, the unique four day event saw thousands of event consultations held between each attending planner and more than 120 high quality event suppliers. Through a series of timed, pre-booked meeting slots, each lasting 20 minutes, attendees got a chance to meet a board spectrum of destination management companies (DMCs), event suppliers, venue operators and hotel outlets in an efficient, timely manner.

Held in Dubai for the first time, the Forum familiarised some of Europe’s leading business event executives with the emirate and educated them on its premier infrastructure and unique offer. While in Dubai, the group visited various famous sites and hotels, including luxury desert safari campsite located within the Dubai Desert Conversation Reserve.

Richard Barnes, Managing Director, M&I Forums, commented: “We couldn’t be happier, the feedback we have received from our delegates about their Forum experience in Dubai has been overwhelmingly positive. This has been made possible by the incredible commitment of all our partners here in Dubai to making this Forum so special.”
