MITM executives expressed satisfaction of Cartagena de Indias hotel infrastructure, available events services and historical and cultural patrimony.

In this fair, the only one of its kind in the Americas, destinations and touristic services from the whole continent are promoted and sold to incentive travel users and congress and convention organizers from North America, Europe, Mexico and Brazil.
María de los Ángeles Barraza Gómez, executive president of Corporación Turismo Cartagena de Indias said that this fair stands out not for the quantity but for the quality of its buyers, who will travel to this Caribbean port.
“In this fair the attendees are executives, decision makers of important companies in Europe, USA, Mexico and Brazil. This is a great opportunity to sell Cartagena de Indias as one of the best cities for events in the world, since it has it all: history, culture, heritage, sun, beach and magnificent events infrastructure.
The making of MITM in Cartagena was obtained thanks to the labor done by the Corporación Turismo Cartagena de Indias that since 2005 did the first approaches for the acquisition of this event in the city in FITUR in Spain, which was closed in MITM in Salvador Bahia in Brazil and the ITB in Berlin in 2007.
Cartagena competed to be the venue of MITM with other Latin American cities. The strategic partners for making this fair in the city are: The City of de Cartagena, Colombia Proexport and the tourism sector of the city.
