Seychelles Educational Theatre has expressed its heartfelt thanks for Benjamine Rose, the Principal Secretary for Culture, and Jimmy Savy the Chief Executive of the National Arts Council, to maintain the presence of role play on Festival Kreol’s program of events annually.

Mary-vonne Eugenie, the Director of the Seychelles Educational Theatre, said she is thankful for the Culture Department for giving role play its rightful position within the Seychelles cultural arena and to have Festival Kreol staged as a national and annual event in the country. Seychelles Educational Theatre prides itself for staging role play in Festival Kreol for the past five years.

Created in 2003, Seychelles Educational Theatre in 2014 staged a Creole role play on the country’s social ills. “Every year the culture department financially and logistically supports our role, and we are very thankful for this,” said Mary-vonne Eugenie. The Festival Kreol 2014 program of events also brought on stage a role play by Modesti theatre directed by Angelin Marie. Angelin and his team have always been pro-active with the Festival Kreol program of events.

Seychelles Educational Theatre announced the replay of “si mon ti konnen” staged for Festival Kreol. The role play is scheduled for December 14 at 3 pm at the National Theatre.

Seychelles is a founding member of the International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) .
