In 2013, the Seychelles Ministry of Tourism and Culture came out with flying colors for staging its first Christmas with the Stars show.

Conceiving Christmas with the Stars, the Culture department promised it will be “the perfect” end-of-year gift for the people of Seychelles for supporting the Ministry of Tourism and Culture’s calendar of events.

Throughout the year, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture has been attentive to suggestions of the public on the way forward for its calendar of events. One of the suggestions was bringing its annual event closer to the community. In response to this suggestion, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture is moving the second Christmas with the Stars show on La Digue.

Marcel Rosalie, the Director General for Culture, who also sits on the organizing committee of Christmas with the Stars, said decentralizing the show to La Digue is also in response to people of the island to work much closer with the ministry.

The show will be staged at St. Mary’s church and will have the National Choir and choirs of the Culture Department and of La Digue island as well as artists from Mahe and La Digue.

Christmas with the Stars on December 7, is another wonderful Christmas gift for the people of Seychelles.

Seychelles is a founding member of the International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) .
