Vanilla Islands founder member, Reunion Island, recently brought together Reunion Island Tourism (IRT), the 16 tourist centers across the island, and 7 partners from the private sector, to launch a novel approach in marketing some of the islandโs attractions to both foreign tourists and locals alike.
The first-ever edition of Alon Bat Kareโ focused on promoting โnon-motorizedโ activities available on Reunion Island will be hosted by the tourism center in Etang-Sale from December 5-7, and for those 3 days, those keen to partake in any of the activities on offer, such as biking, hiking, museum visits, cooking classes, and even diving, may enjoy rebates or may get into the โgamesโ for as little as two or five euros.
When booking in advance for activities during the โfestival days,โ which will rotate through 3 more of these tourism centers on the island, rebates of up to 20 percent may be obtained for accommodation, while other activities will still get a 15 percent rebate off the sticker prices. The next of these events will then take place in St. Denis in April next year, before moving on to Saint Leu in June and St. Benedict in November, each time offering special rates, tariffs, and rebates.
