According to the LA Times, the break occurred just after 10 a.m. under parking structure 2A and was affecting water service to Terminal 2, according a statement from LAX. Portable toilets were delivered to Terminal 2, which was without water. Concessions inside the terminal were only serving pre-packaged food.

Emergency crews were immediately called to work on the break, which Los Angeles City Department of Water and Power officials said occurred on privately owned pipes.

The parking structure was closed while crews worked to repair the break. Owners were allowed to retrieve their vehicles from the structure
