China hosts Iranian culture and tourism exhibit

LONDON – China has scheduled an exhibit of various Iranian handicrafts in order to promote Iranian culture and tourism amongst the Chinese people, PressTV reported.

The event includes displays of Iranian calligraphy, painting, miniatures, illumination and carpets.

A film about Iran’s tourist attractions will be screened before the exhibit in the Fujian province.

Historical documents suggest that 700 years ago the Fujian province was on the trade routes along the Silk Road used by Iranian merchants plying their trade between the two countries.
