From October 17-19, 2014, Reunion Island Tourism (IRT) participated in Prêt-à-from Mauritius. This was an opportunity to discover the Mauritian destination meeting in terms of accommodation, cultural activities, and outdoor landscapes.

With an average of 20,000 tourists visiting Mauritius annually and coming to Reunion Island, the IRT has participated in the second edition of the Salon Maurice Ready-to-Go, which took place on the island. The exhibition was inaugurated Friday, October 17, by Tourism Minister Michael Sik Yuen, who came to greet the exhibitors. On site, Aurore Lorion, the assistant responsible for large Indian and Asian markets to the IRT, was able to promote the destination meeting with the Mauritian public. At the 24 m² stand, IRT was conveniently located at the entrance of the show, and Mauritians were able to learn about the different tourist offers of Reunion Island. Lux group and airline, Air Austral, along with Gites de France and Le Reunion Cilaos were present at the stand alongside the IRT. Air Austral offered visitors at the Salon Ready-to-Go, a tickets to take a flight to Reunion Island at a promotional price of 6460 rupees (150 euros).

In 3 days, the stand of the IRT recorded an attendance of over 2,000 visitors. Mauritians were particularly interested in the mountainous terrain of Reunion Island, as well as its active volcano, as well as its nightlife on the west coast of the island. Expect Reunion Island Tourism to be back for the 2015 event.
