The United Federation of Travel Agents’ Association (UFTAA) based in Monaco announces its 47th Congress and General Assembly that will be held in Bali (Indonesia) from November 16th to 19th, 2014.

The United Federation of Travel Agents’ Association (UFTAA) based in Monaco announces its 47th Congress and General Assembly that will be held in Bali (Indonesia) from November 16th to 19th, 2014. The congress business sessions will revolve around the theme: “THE WAY AHEAD”.

Apart from the usual business sessions, extraordinary and annual general assembly – a second edition of the UFTAA Forum will be concurrently held. The first successful Forum was held in Geneva (Switzerland) last March where delegates were able to air and share their concerns while experts gave their professional advice and guidelines. Delegates in Geneva requested UFTAA to hold similar forums in the future.

The congress venue is a newly built hotel: the ASTON UNGASAN.

UFTAA is also organizing a B2B event in the same venue as the Congress and its delegates will be invited to participate as Hosted Buyers; the programme will soon be circulated.
B2B participants should have a managerial position and be responsible for their company’s outgoing retail department offering MICE, FIT, special interest, religious travel, etc., to be eligible.

UFTAA’s President, Joe Borg Olivier said:

“This B2B, being organized with Raja MICE, is a new venture for UFTAA and, by combining business meetings with educational and informative sessions, we hope to attract not only the usual UFTAA delegates but also all travel agents/tour operators, whether they are UFTAA members or not.

You are in the tourism business and I urge you to come and sample Bali’s hospitality industry. This event will be a memorable one, so join us in Bali: We are there to serve the industry!”

Hosted Buyers will be joining UFTAA delegates during the events and will have the opportunity of doing business with suppliers and UFTAA members. UFTAA expects an active participation from all delegates. Plans for leisure time and a programme for accompanying participants are in hand.
Just before the Congress, Hosted Buyers will have the opportunity to visit Makassar, a nearby island, for a 3-day business activity and familiarization trip (Nov. 14th to 16th). The participants will be fully hosted, including flights from/to Bali. This will be another B2B opportunity.
Those planning to take part in these events are asked to block the dates in their calendar and start organizing flights and visa. Visa information will be posted on the UFTAA website. However, we are reproducing relevant information below.
More information can be requested by writing to the UFTAA Team at [email protected] or by visiting our website at www.uftaa.org or find us on Facebook.
