Arsenal Meetings and Events, the events team behind the iconic Emirates Stadium, are returning to IMEX America following a successful inaugural show in 2013 resulting in a number of new business wins internationally.
Exhibiting again part of London Venues and Partners, Arsenal Meetings and Events have seen a substantial increase in international interest in the Stadium over the past year, with more than double the bookings and a number of new clients from the Middle East, Asia, Africa and the United States.
Utilising the venue’s flexibility, Emirates Stadium has been the host for a number of different events, including conferences, with clients including US based MarkLogic and Tableau Software, exhibitions and meetings.
Carlo Zoccali, Arsenal Meetings and Events Manager, said he believes the string of American new business wins is in some part due to the ‘World Cup Effect’.
“The World Cup has had a significant impact on our international appeal. For example, with Team USA delivering an outstanding performance, we have seen the US market having considerably more interest in soccer (football) stadiums. Arsenal is one of the most recognised soccer teams, with an estimated 113 million supporters worldwide, and we have found the team’s popularity combined with our state-of-the-art event facilities makes us a popular choice.”
